Greetings! Welcome to the George Macy Imagery. Some of you may have wandered in from the George Macy Devotees from LibraryThing, through search engines, my other sites, and/or by sheer chance. This site is a place for me to catalog my personal collection of Limited Editions Club and Heritage Press books for educational/research purposes. I also check out items from libraries on occasion. A third Macy publishing project, the Reader’s Club, is briefly covered here, although in a more limited fashion.
If you’re new to this world of fine books, this page will give you a brief history of the two major presses and a complete LEC bibliography. A master list of all LEC and Heritage Press titles (work in progress) can be found on Google Docs (I do not operate this; I merely wish to give it a signal boost). My own list of Heritage Press exclusives can be found here. I also have a Video Series on Youtube here.
My goal here is to enable collectors and/or book lovers a chance to be able to see these marvelous books. To be able to see what they look like, who illustrated them and how, and to provide comparisons of various printings of the books between the presses. I hope you find this blog to be a useful and important part of your collecting and discovery!
